Kristy Broduer Dermody, Training Coordinator

Kristy Brodeur has been interviewing suspected child abuse victims’ for 24 years, and is currently a Child Interview Specialist and Training Coordinator at CALICO Center, Alameda County’s Child Advocacy Center. As the Training Coordinator, Kristy has conducted trainings on interviewing child abuse victims, resiliency and the child abuse professionals, mandating reporting laws and responsibilities, interviewing victims with intellectual disabilities, and prevention and safety workshops. She has presented trainings locally, statewide and internationally, and in 2012, was awarded the National Children’s Advocacy Center’s award for Outstanding Service Award. In 2016, Kristy began working with Children’s Advocacy Centers of California (CACC) as the State Training Coordinator where she coordinates and facilitates quarterly regional CAC/MDT meetings throughout California and responds to county requests for state training. Kristy enjoys staying active with her family and friends, and enjoys cycling, hiking and adventures.
