Awareness & Advocacy

CACC works to advance a policy agenda that focus on the safety and well-being of children. We believe in the power of public policy to both protect children from harm and help heal those affected by violence and abuse.

Past Sponsored Legislation:

2021

AB 477 (Rubio): Passed

A bill that added Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) to the list of “Child abuse multidisciplinary personnel team” cited in 18961.7 of the California Welfare and Institutions Code (WIC).

2020

AB 2741(Rubio): Passed

A bill that created statutory requirements for children’s advocacy centers (CAC). These requirements clarify what services must be provided to qualify as a CAC.
