Kelsi Perttula grew up in Sacramento and has lived in the Bay Area all of her adult life.  Kelsi worked 10 years as a forensic scientist, mostly for San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, and has been an associate professor at CSU East Bay after starting a family.  Her teaching and research focus on public health. She and her family live in Berkeley.
