Darby Geller was employed with the County of Sacramento Department of Child, Family and Adult Services, Child Protection Bureau for over 20 years. She was a first responder in the Emergency Response program investigating allegations of child abuse and neglect and worked as a Social Worker and Supervisor in the Permanency Program striving to safely reunify children with their families through the Dependency court system. Ms. Geller found her Child Welfare niche as a Forensic Interview Specialist at Sacramento’s Child Advocacy Center, the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation (SAFE) Center, where she also served as the Director for seven years. In 2022, Ms. Geller promoted to Program Manager of the Victim and Witness Program with the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office where she oversees Victim Advocates who provide support and healing for those maneuvering through the criminal justice system. Ms. Geller is also a Site Reviewer with National Children’s Alliance and enjoys meeting multi-disciplinary teams throughout the country and ensuring standards are upheld.
