Building and Maintaining Resilient Multi-Disciplinary Teams and Organizations

While the collaborative, multidisciplinary response to child abuse has always been the heart and soul of the children's advocacy center (CAC) movement, the need to focus on and fortify multidisciplinary teams (MDT) has never been greater. This year's CACC Summit will provide an opportunity for leaders across the state to explore strategies for strengthening and sustaining this core component of the CAC model and our teams.

Featured Speakers Include:

Cathy Crabtree, Cathy is currently a consultant in Austin, Texas, is a former CAC and Chapter Director and the former Director of Chapter Development for NCA who has worked with hundreds of CACs and MDTs over the course of the past 25 years.

Janet E. Fine, MS, Consultant / Training & Technical Assistance Provider / Adjunct Faculty the Project Director for Northeastern University's Vicarious Trauma Toolkit Project funded by OVC, and a Senior Consultant for Organizational Resilience International, LLC.

Katie Albright, Chief Executive Officer of Safe & Sound, a children's advocacy organization in San Francisco focused on strengthening families and ending child abuse.

Will Laird, State Government Affairs Officer for the National Children's Alliance, which is the national membership and accrediting body for Children's Advocacy Centers.

Boxed Lunches will be provide both days.

After the program on the second day, we will take a short walk to the State Capitol to meet with our elected officials to highlight the import work all of us are doing.

A limited number of travel stipends to assist with airfare and lodging are available for those CACC members who have to drive more than three hours to attend this meeting. Please answer the travel stipend registration question if you are interested in applying for such a stipend.

Each county and/or center is encouraged to send two leaders of their CAC/MDT.
